Lymphatic massage is a trained technique in improving fluid drainage from areas retaining fluid after surgery, inflammation, or infection. In our practice, most commonly, lymphatic massage is performed 8-10 days after a facelift, necklift, or browlift to increase fluid mobility and to decrease facial swelling as quickly as possible.
For individuals who have busy schedules and are interested in getting back to work and life, this is an ideal adjunct to your postoperative care to maximize your recovery. Lymphatic massage takes 20-30 minutes and is performed in the office. It will be recommended soon after your facelift, necklift, or browlift.
