Dr. Mike Majmundar, double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, offers Juvederm Volbella XC treatment to the residents of Atlanta, Sandy Springs and the surrounding communities in Georgia.
What is Juvederm Volbella XC?
Volbella is part of the Juvederm family of products and, like most fillers, is a hyaluronic acid. However, it is a thin hyaluronic acid, making it ideal for fine or thin lines on the face. Volbella is FDA approved to provide subtle lip enhancement and improvement to lip lines around the mouth.
Who is a candidate for Volbella?
Anyone with fine lines around the mouth especially around the lips, chin, and cheeks. The filler is very thin so works well for finer lines in these areas. Volbella comes mixed with lidocaine to make the product more comfortable with treatment.
Board-certified plastic surgeon in Atlanta, Dr. Mike Majmundar, MD, has been named a Top Doctor by Atlanta Magazine, a National Top Doctor by U.S. News & World Report and Castle Connolly, a Top Beauty Expert by The Atlantan, and Northside Woman, ‘Top Plastic Surgeon for Face’ by Best Self, and ‘Best Botox and Filler Injector’ by Jezebel.
Dr. Majmundar serves as a national trainer for Galderma, the maker of Restylane, Sculptra, Dysport and other facial fillers. He is also a national trainer for Suneva who makes Bellafill and his facility is a regional training center for physicians to learn more about injecting the above fillers. Dr. Majmundar also has his own private training entity called Advanced Cosmetic Techniques, which offers surgeons the rare chance to train one-on-one with Dr. Majmundar on Allergan, Galderma, Merz, Prollenium and Suneva products using advanced and innovative nonsurgical methods.
Dr. MajmundarHow is the Volbella treatment performed?
In our practice, Volbella is injected using a blunt micro-cannula to minimize the risk of bruising or swelling associated with the treatment. For finer lines, the thin needle provided with the product may be used.
What should I expect after the Volbella treatment?
Because we use blunt cannulas for treatment, most of the after effects are minimal. Patients can experience mild swelling for 24-36 hours with greater than 95% of our patients not experiencing any bruising at all. When used around the lips for vertical lip lines, Volbella may create mild bruising that may last 2-3 days but easily covered with lipstick or makeup.
