Restylane Lyft vs Voluma: that is the question
Restylane Lyft vs Voluma
There are four very strong lifting agents great for nonsurgical facelifts available on the market currently: Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Restylane, and Radiesse. Restylane is a thinner agent compared to the other three so not considered a volumizer or lifting agent (though in smaller areas it can do really well). Radiesse is the thickest of the 4 fillers but also the strongest lifting agent. It is great in men, heavier individuals with lots of facial soft tissue, and individuals looking for a good lift for a lot less money. It lasts 10-12 months on average but is not usually part of the following conversation because it isn’t as soft as Restylane Lyft vs Voluma nor does it last as long.
The question remains: Restylane Lyft vs voluma? Restylane Lyft vs Voluma is a constant debate in our practice. They are both hyaluronic acids that provide great lift, that are great for the cheeks and lifting descended tissues, and are soft fillers that look great around the mouth and eyes and cheeks. They are also both reversible and long lasting.
The differences for Restylane Lyft vs Voluma? Restylane Lyft is FDA approved for 15-18 months of lift while Voluma is FDA approved for 20-24 months of lift. Voluma is the softer agent and I like using this in individuals with thin skin or with individuals who need a mild lift (younger patients). Voluma is also commonly used in others but much more product (thus cost) is needed to get the same volume and lift. For example, in an individual who needs 2 syringes of Restylane Lyft, the same person would need 3-4 syringes of Voluma to achieve the same effect.
Restylane Lyft vs Voluma? They both work great around the eyes and in the lips and in the nose. I prefer Restylane Lyft in the nose and eyes as usually only one syringe is needed with this product whereas Voluma looks good in the lips and in the cheeks; but usually more product is needed around the eyes and in the nose. Restylane Lyft is wonderful for a nonsurgical necklift and gives a superior lift compared to Voluma. Restylane Lyft also is a great product for temples.
I explain to patient who ask Restylane Lyft vs Voluma that Voluma is really what you want but Restylane Lyft is the cost alternative. Both volumizers are extremely popular in our practice.
